ARCHIVES
The Archives provides permanent storage for the County’s historically valuable records, identifies, collects, preserves, arranges, and describes records of historical significance originated by County government. Our goal is to make these records available to County officials and employees, as well as the general public.
The Archives wants to inform researchers not affiliated with the County government about the nature of our facility, and the resources which are available to the public. We also hope to share our enthusiasm for the preservation of the County’s documentary heritage with those who are interested in County history. The existence of a the Butler County Records Center and Archives ensures that future generations of County officials, employees, private citizens, and scholars will know about the contributions of County government to the growth and development of Butler County, Ohio.

*** Limited townships in the early years
1923 is an arbitrary date set by the center's staff as the "cut-off" date for all archival materials. Many recent records are available through the Center, as well. A "+" following a date indicates that additional years can be found at the Center.
We can pull items for records for other offices that may just be looked up by a name, address or the office box number.
