DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES
Petitioners seeking Civil Protection Order (CPO) through the Butler County Domestic Relations Court should report to the second floor of the Government Services Building, 315 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011-6041. They will be provided with standardized state forms in order to file their request.
Due to budget reductions, petitioners will be served on a “first come, first served” basis from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Because of staff lay-offs, the cut off for accepting petitions may be 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or earlier depending on the number of requests on that date.
For additional information about the procedures to request a CPO, please call (513) 887-3347 (Hamilton) or (513) 424-5351 ext. 3347 (Middletown).
State law prohibits employees of the court from giving legal advice of any kind (O.R.C. 4705.07). If you have any questions about the law, or your legal rights, please contact an attorney.
