CASE MANAGEMENT

By rule of the Butler County Domestic Relations Court, all pleadings and filings shall be submitted to the Domestic Relations Court Case Management Office for data entry or review before filing with the Clerk of Courts. Submission to the Case Management Office is not a filing of the legal action. The Case Management Office approves pleadings that comply in form and content with Title III of the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, and local rules of the Butler County Domestic Relations Court. The office assists the public and legal profession by assuring the quality of documents processed by the court, and increasing the efficiency of the court’s operation. The Case Management Office provides the public and legal community with answers to procedural questions; processes notices of intent to relocate; and supplies packets for dissolution of marriage, agreements to credit direct support payments, change of residential parent status, and change of parenting time. The Case Management Office is prohibited from giving legal advice.

The Case Management Office is also responsible for setting cases on the judges’ and magistrates’ dockets. To request or confirm a hearing date, please call the Case Management Office at 513-887-3100. From Middletown, dial 513-424-5351, ext. 3100.

The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding most legal holidays. Members of the public or legal community with procedural questions may visit the office on the second floor of the Government Services Center, 315 High St., Hamilton, Ohio 45011 or call (513) 887-3100 (Hamilton) or (513) 424-5351, ext. 3100 (Middletown).  Documents may be faxed to (513) 785-5337.
