In felony cases and certain misdemeanor cases, if a defendant is indigent, he or she may request the Court appoint an attorney to represent him or her. To support this request the defendant must file an affidavit setting forth his or her financial standing. A Judge or authorized Court official shall review the affidavit. The defendant will be notified if the facts do not support the appointment of counsel.
