The Honorable Judge Robert H. Lyons was appointed to the bench, and began presiding over affairs of the Butler County Area I Court in Oxford, Ohio, on February 8, 1999. He was re-elected in 2006 for his second term to serve until January 2013.
Judge Lyons holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Miami University and a Juris Doctor degree from Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Judges Association, the Butler County Association of County & Municipal Court Judges, the Butler County Bar Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio Association of County & Municipal Court Judges, the Ohio Bar Association, and the National Association of Tax Practitioners.
